Kevin Holland will continue competing in the welterweight division.
The UFC officially announced on Friday that Holland is scheduled to fight Vicente Luque at UFC 316. The event is set to take place on June 7th at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Vicente Luque will be making his first appearance in 2025, following a quick 52-second submission victory over Themba Gorimbo at UFC 310 last December. This win marked his return to the win column after a previous TKO loss to Joaquin Buckley at UFC Atlantic City nine months earlier. Notably, Luque was previously scheduled to face Nick Diaz on two separate occasions last year, but Diaz withdrew from both.
Kevin Holland is known for his quick turnarounds and is coming off a strong unanimous decision win against Gunnar Nelson at UFC London in March. This victory signified a successful move back to the 170-pound weight class after experiencing consecutive stoppage losses in the middleweight division to Roman Dolidze and Reinier de Ridder.
UFC 316 will be headlined by a highly anticipated bantamweight championship rematch between Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O’Malley.
