Ukraine emerged victorious against Switzerland in their Billie Jean King Cup 2025 qualifying match, which took place on Saturday, April 12th.
Despite Marta Kostyuk losing the opening match to Celine Naef (4-6, 6-7(1)), Elina Svitolina leveled the score by defeating Jil Teichmann in straight sets (6-4, 6-2).
The deciding doubles match saw Nadiia Kichenok and Katarina Zavatska secure the win for Ukraine, overcoming the pair of Naef and Susan Bandecchi (6-4, 3-6, 10-5).
This victory secured first place in Group E for the Ukrainian team. Poland finished second, and Switzerland took third place in the group.
