While not currently scheduled for a fight, former two-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo recently demonstrated his skills outside the octagon, intervening in a neighborhood incident.

Cejudo`s producer, Dylan Rush, shared a video where Cejudo recounts a dramatic event. According to Cejudo, he and Rush witnessed a car speeding in their neighborhood. The vehicle subsequently crashed into a neighbor`s yard after going airborne.

In the video, a suspect is seen being subdued, and a neighbor with a head injury is visible. Cejudo explained that the driver of the crashed vehicle assaulted his 65-year-old neighbor. Reacting to the assault, Cejudo took action.

“The guy got out and tried to flee, and then he assaulted my neighbor,” Cejudo stated. “Once he hit my neighbor, I stepped in, took him down, and restrained him until the police arrived. Some neighbors also assisted.”

Dylan Rush corroborated Cejudo`s account on Instagram, stating that Cejudo apprehended a hit-and-run driver who attempted to escape after crashing into a house. Rush detailed that the driver was speeding, crashed into a residence, assaulted the homeowner who tried to intervene, and was ultimately stopped by Cejudo before police arrived.

Cejudo`s last UFC fight was in February, where he faced Song Yadong. The fight ended in a technical decision loss for Cejudo due to an eye poke. He has been contemplating retirement since his return to the UFC in 2023.

The lingering effects of the eye injury have led Cejudo to consider retiring from MMA for a second time.
