Further adjustments have been made to the UFC Vegas 107 fight card scheduled for Saturday.

On Wednesday, the promotion announced that MarQuel Mederos was forced to withdraw from his planned lightweight contest against Bolaji Oki due to illness. Stepping in on short notice is Michael Aswell, who will now face Oki at the event.

Making his debut for the promotion, the 10-2 Aswell enters the fight aiming for his second consecutive win. Known as “The Texas Kid,” he previously appeared on Dana White`s Contender Series in August, where he lost a split decision to Bogdan Grad. However, he rebounded with a decision win over fellow DWCS alum Dorian Ramos at Fury FC 105 in December.

Bolaji Oki (9-2) is set for his third octagon appearance, currently holding a 1-1 record in his initial two bouts under the promotion`s banner. “The Zulu Warrior” secured a split decision victory in his first UFC fight against Timmy Cuamba but suffered a submission loss to Chris Duncan in his subsequent outing at UFC Paris last September.

The main event for UFC Vegas 107 features a crucial flyweight matchup between Erin Blanchfield and the returning Maycee Barber, who will be competing for the first time in over a year (specifically, 14+ months).
