The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) might be returning to Brazil in the near future.
Reports indicate the promotion is planning a return to Brazil for a Fight Night event scheduled for October. The tentative date for this potential event is October 11th, aiming for the Farmasi Arena in Rio de Janeiro, although the agreement is reportedly not yet finalized.
The last time the UFC held an event in Brazil was in May 2024. That event, UFC 301, took place at the same venue in Rio de Janeiro and saw Alexandre Pantoja defend his flyweight title against Steve Erceg in the main event. UFC 301 drew 14,514 attendees and featured Jose Aldo`s return from retirement in a co-main event bout against Jonathan Martinez.
Since parting ways with broadcaster Band TV at the beginning of 2025, the UFC no longer has a linear TV partner in Brazil and currently airs all its events exclusively on its streaming platform, UFC Fight Pass.
UFC CEO Dana White mentioned in September 2024 that the company was “working on a big deal right now down in Brazil” which he hoped to announce “pretty soon.” However, no specific announcements concerning broadcast agreements or future events in the country have been made since that time.
