This Saturday, UFC Mexico City will feature a compelling bantamweight clash on the main card: Raul Rosas Jr. versus Vince Morales at the CDMX Arena.
Raul Rosas Jr. quickly became a talking point in the UFC world. Signed at only 18 after a dominant win on Contender Series, he is the youngest fighter on the roster. Rosas backed up the hype in his debut with a first-round submission victory over Jay Perrin. Although he faced a setback against Christian Rodriguez, “El Niño Problema” has since bounced back with three straight wins, solidifying his position as a serious contender in the 135-pound division.
Vince Morales, with a past in Bellator, initially didn`t secure a UFC contract through Contender Series in 2018. However, he entered the promotion later that year, debuting against Song Yadong with a loss. Morales` UFC record stood at 3-4, leading to his release in 2022. Undeterred, he rebuilt his momentum with five consecutive wins outside the UFC, earning a return to the octagon last year. Unfortunately, his second UFC stint has been challenging, currently on a two-fight losing streak. This Saturday`s fight could determine Morales` future in the promotion.
