Former champion Miesha Tate makes her return to action after approximately 17 months away from the octagon. Her most recent performance saw “Cupcake” secure a victory over Julia Avila at UFC Austin in December 2023. This win was significant, being her second since coming out of a five-year retirement that spanned from November 2016 to November 2021. Her initial comeback fight was a victory against Marion Reneau. This upcoming bout marks Tate`s 14th appearance inside the UFC cage.
Yana Santos, currently holding the No. 12 spot in the MMA Fighting Global Rankings, is set for her first fight of 2025. The 35-year-old competitor recently ended a challenging streak by earning her first win in nearly four years, securing a decision victory against Chelsea Chandler in August 2024. Prior to that crucial win, “Foxy” had faced defeats from notable opponents including Holly Holm, Irene Aldana, and Karol Rosa.
