The UFC is set to return to Atlanta on June 14, and the event, which features a main event clash between former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and Joaquin Buckley, has significantly expanded its fight card with several new additions.
UFC officials announced six new fights on Tuesday that are scheduled to take place at the State Farm Arena. Among the newly confirmed bouts is a welterweight encounter between veterans Michael Chiesa and Court McGee.
Chiesa will be looking to extend his recent positive momentum, having secured two consecutive submission victories over Max Griffin and Tony Ferguson. Similarly, McGee aims to continue his winning ways after submitting Tim Means in October.
Undefeated prospect Mansur Abdul-Malik is slated for his second appearance inside the Octagon after earning his spot on The Contender Series. He will compete in a middleweight bout against Cody Brundage.
A women`s flyweight matchup between Tereza Bleda and Jamey-Lyn Horth has also been officially added to the event lineup.
The middleweight division will see the return of Edmen Shahbazyan, who is scheduled to face Andre Petroski. This pairing promises an intriguing stylistic battle between a striker and a grappler.
Flyweight veteran and Georgia native Cody Durden will have the opportunity to fight in his home state when he takes on Jose Ochoa.
Rounding out the latest fight announcements, Alonzo Menifield is set to step into the cage against the undefeated Oumar Sy in a compelling light heavyweight contest.
As previously confirmed, the co-main event for the Atlanta card features former two-time strawweight champion Rose Namajunas continuing her run in the flyweight division against Miranda Maverick.
A full and finalized fight card for the June 14 UFC Atlanta event is still in the process of being completed and is expected to be announced soon.
