Dana White is fully embracing Meta technologies.
TKO Group Holding revealed on Wednesday a multi-year partnership between UFC and Meta, designating Mark Zuckerberg`s company as the “official fan technology partner” of the UFC.
According to the announcement:
As the first Official Fan Technology Partner for UFC, Meta will collaborate to integrate its technology platforms, services, and products—including Meta AI, Meta Glasses, Meta Quest, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads—to provide fans with unprecedented immersion into UFC content. Meta will also become the Official AI Glasses Partner of UFC, exploring innovative uses for their AI glasses at UFC events.
The relationship between White and Zuckerberg has grown stronger over recent years, with Zuckerberg frequently attending UFC events and White joining Meta’s board of directors in January.
While the specifics of White’s role are not fully clear, the partnership announcement indicates immediate benefits for the business. White shared the news on social media, confirming plans to work with Meta on a new fighter ranking system anticipated to be launched before the end of 2025.
“We’ve already begun collaborating with Meta to develop a new fighter rankings system, which is planned to launch later this year,” White stated. “We will also utilize Meta’s AI-powered glasses to capture UFC content and explore innovative applications of Meta technologies that will amaze UFC fans. The coming years will be transformative for fans of the sport.”
Zuckerberg commented in the release, “I am a huge fan of this sport and excited to collaborate with the UFC to create new and engaging experiences for fans.”
