Topuria notably vacated his UFC featherweight title to take this shot at lightweight. The lightweight title became vacant after Islam Makhachev moved up to the welterweight division.
In the co-main event, Alexandre Pantoja defends his UFC flyweight title for the fourth time against Kai Kara-France.
