Following her decisive victory over former champion Alexa Grasso at UFC 315, Natalia Silva expressed her ambition to challenge for a title in the division.
The Brazilian fighter showcased exceptional striking skills and fluid movement throughout the bout, effectively frustrating Grasso`s attempts to mount offense. Silva consistently landed a variety of effective strikes, culminating in the most significant win of her professional career.
All three judges scored the contest 30-27 in favor of Silva, resulting in a clear unanimous decision.
“We knew there was a path [to victory],” Silva commented after the fight. “My fighting style is different and it’s by Natalia Silva. Dana [White], that belt’s going to look beautiful on me!”
Silva`s speed and footwork established her dominance early, as she controlled the range with kicks and quick hand combinations. Grasso found it difficult to keep pace, managing only a clean jab and a failed takedown attempt before Silva regained control in the center of the cage.
A notable moment occurred when Silva landed a sharp side kick directly to Grasso`s face, eliciting surprised reactions from the audience in attendance.
