The main card for UFC 315 is now finalized.
Next month`s UFC 315 event, taking place at the Bell Centre in Montreal on May 10th, will be headlined by two championship bouts. The main event will see Belal Muhammad putting his welterweight championship on the line against the rising contender Jack Della Maddalena. Originally, Muhammad was scheduled to face Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310, but an injury forced Muhammad to withdraw. Rakhmonov also sustained an injury, which opened the door for Maddalena to step in.
In the co-main event, Valentina Shevchenko will defend her women`s flyweight title against Manon Fiorot. Shevchenko, already considered a Hall of Fame fighter, recently regained her flyweight title by defeating Alexa Grasso in their trilogy fight at UFC 306. Now, “Bullet” begins her second reign as champion against Fiorot, who is on an impressive seven-fight win streak since joining the UFC.
In addition to the two title fights, the UFC announced the remaining main card matchups during UFC 314. The featured fight of the night will be a bantamweight clash between featherweight legend Jose Aldo and up-and-comer Aiemann Zahabi, both ranked in the top 15.
Also on the main card, former women`s flyweight champion and current No. 1 contender Alexa Grasso will make her return since losing her title to Shevchenko. She will face No. 5-ranked Natalia Silva. Opening the main card will be a highly anticipated lightweight bout between the always exciting Benoit Saint Denis and Joel Alvarez.
UFC 315 is scheduled for May 10th, with the main card broadcast live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
