World No. 12 Tommy Paul had his vehicle repossessed in Florida. The American tennis player revealed this incident after advancing to the semifinals of the Rome Masters.
Speaking about his week, Paul commented: “This week on the court has been great. I feel like I`m playing better with each match. Of course, as I`ve said before, I wish I had served a little better today. But overall, things are going well on court.”
“Off-court, the week has been a bit hectic. My pickup truck was taken. It turns out I missed a couple of payments, and they repossessed it right from my house this week. Now I`m working hard to get it back. Anyone who knows me knows it`s my baby. So yeah, I`m putting in every effort to get it back.”
Where did this happen?
In Florida.
In what city?
In Boca Raton. I won`t give you the full address (laughs).
How much does it cost to get it back?
I already paid it. A thousand bucks. My coach is supposed to pick it up today.
What kind of pickup is it?
A Ford F-150. Ford took it. I can`t wait for it to come back. Had to win a couple of matches to pay for it all (laughs),” Paul said in a post-match interview.
