Tim Henman, a former British tennis number one and six-time Grand Slam semi-finalist, has offered his opinion on the recent dip in form of Spanish player Carlos Alcaraz.
Alcaraz, who is currently ranked third in the world, won the ATP-500 tournament in Rotterdam this season. However, he has experienced defeats in the semi-finals of the 2025 Australian Open against Novak Djokovic, in the semi-finals of the Indian Wells Masters against Jack Draper, and in the second round of the Miami Masters against David Goffin.
“I wouldn`t say he is in crisis. It`s just that he`s not currently showing his best, but this is a normal stage in the process of self-discovery and improvement. In my view, he needs to refine his shot selection.”
“By improving this aspect, he will be able to demonstrate more consistent performance. He is among the best tennis players globally, and I am confident that he is capable of winning any tournament he participates in,” Henman was quoted by TNT Sports.
