Alessio Tacchinardi, a former midfielder for Juventus, was highly impressed by Sandro Tonali’s exceptional performance in Italy’s 2-0 victory over Northern Ireland. Following the match, Tacchinardi publicly appealed to Juventus director Giorgio Chiellini to facilitate the Newcastle star’s transfer to Turin.
Tonali played a pivotal role in Italy’s 2-0 triumph on Thursday, contributing both a goal and an assist, which secured the Azzurri’s qualification for the World Cup play-off Final.
A devoted supporter of the Bianconeri, Tacchinardi, who also represented Italy, took to social media to commend Tonali’s display. He directly addressed his friend Chiellini, urging the Juventus director to pursue the Newcastle midfielder this summer.

“Super Chiellini, bring him to Turin, a proper player,” Tacchinardi declared in a social media post published the day after the game.
Juventus reportedly holds an interest in acquiring Tonali. However, recent reports suggest that Newcastle United is likely to demand a significant transfer fee, estimated at no less than €90 million, for the former AC Milan star this summer.

This season, Tonali has been a key contributor for Newcastle, scoring three goals and providing seven assists in 47 appearances across all competitions.
The 25-year-old midfielder has also netted four goals in 31 appearances for the Italian national team.
