American world No. 42 Peyton Stearns reportedly became sick and vomited following her demanding victory over Japanese world No. 48 Naomi Osaka. The match, played in the fourth round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Rome, concluded with a score of 6-4, 3-6, 7-6(4) in favor of Stearns.
Immediately after the hard-fought contest ended, the American player was seen going behind the umpire`s chair, where she was subsequently unwell.
