HelvetX Invests in ASVEL Basketball with NBA European League in Mind
Maxime Gillot, founder of Lemvi SA, a company specializing in investment and asset management in Lausanne, and holding a Master's degree in Euroleague sports management, has announced the launch of HelvetX. This new entity will be dedicated to investments in premium basketball.
Gillot stated: "Being based in Lausanne, just a two-hour drive away, as a French speaker and a big basketball fan, and deeply admiring the work of Tony Parker and Gaëtan Muller, it's only natural that ASVEL is the club we turn to."
A representative from HelvetX will sit on the supervisory board of the Villeurbanne club, with the goal of "contributing positively to decision-making and value creation for the club, its players, and its supporters, with a very long-term vision."
Maxime Gillot anticipates that the upcoming NBA European league will profoundly transform the landscape of basketball on the continent.
He added: "Few people fully grasp the potential impact this could have. We have chosen to position ourselves alongside a historic club, with a long-term vision, as we are convinced that European basketball is entering a decisive phase of its economic development."
