British tennis player Harriet Dart, ranked No. 110 in the world, made a peculiar request to the chair umpire during her first-round match at the WTA 250 clay-court tournament in Rouen, France.
In the opening match, Dart was competing against 21-year-old French player Lois Boisson, ranked No. 303, who received a wild card for the tournament.
During a changeover when she was down 0/6, 3/4, Dart addressed the umpire: `Can you ask her to put on deodorant? Because she smells really bad.` The umpire did not take any action.
Dart lost the match to Boisson with a score of 0/6, 3/6. Boisson will next face the winner of the match between Moyuka Uchijima (Japan) and Kamilla Rakhimova (Russia).
