Preview Rhys McKee Celebrates First UFC Win with $50,000 Bonus

Rhys McKee`s long-awaited first victory in the UFC was made even better by a $50,000 bonus.

In his fifth fight with the promotion, and on his second stint, McKee achieved his first win. He defeated Daniel Frunza at UFC Vegas 105 with a doctor`s stoppage TKO in the first round. This was a significant moment for McKee, who had previously lost two fights in the octagon in 2020 before leaving the UFC. He returned in 2023 and experienced two more losses before his victory over Frunza.

McKee was awarded a Performance of the Night bonus for his efforts, his first in the UFC. Dione Barbosa and Chang Ho Lee also received Performance of the Night bonuses.

Barbosa earned an extra $50,000 for her dominant grappling performance against Diana Belbita. She won by arm-triangle choke submission, improving her UFC record to 2-1.

Lee, in his official UFC debut after winning a Road to UFC tournament, also used grappling to control Cortavious Romious. After a dominant performance lasting over eight minutes, Lee secured a TKO finish in the second round.

As there was no Fight of the Night bonus awarded, four Performance of the Night bonuses were given in total. The final bonus went to veteran flyweight fighter Ode Osbourne.

Osbourne defeated Luis Gurule, a recent Contender Series signee, with strikes in the second round. This was Osbourne`s first bonus since June 2022.
