Preview Ranma 1/2: New Trailer Reveals Ryoga Using Bakusai Tenketsu in Third Season

The second season of the Ranma 1/2 remake, produced by Studio MAPPA, concluded in December 2025. After a period without news, MAPPA has broken its silence, utilizing the upcoming AnimeJapan 2026 event to reveal new information about the highly anticipated third season.

The initial promotional material for Ranma 1/2’s third season, including a new trailer and official poster, indicates that the main storyline will focus on Ryoga Hibiki. In the trailer, Ryoga is shown confronting Ranma and employing his powerful Bakusai Tenketsu (Breaking Point) technique. This confirms that the third season will begin by adapting “The Breaking Point,” the tenth arc of the original Ranma 1/2 manga, which spans chapters 51 to 55 and was covered in episodes 29 and 30 of the 1989 anime adaptation.

When Will Ranma 1/2 (Remake) Season 3 Premiere?

Fans will be delighted to know that MAPPA has confirmed the third season of Ranma 1/2 will premiere in October 2026. It is highly probable that a full new trailer will be unveiled this weekend, as Ranma 1/2 will be featured during the Netflix panel at AnimeJapan 2026. The event takes place on Saturday in Japan, with the specific panel for Latin America scheduled for Friday at 10:45 PM (Colombia time) / 9:45 PM (Mexico time).
