Quang Le successfully earned his first victory inside the UFC octagon, overcoming his opponent without significant challenges.
The initial finish of the UFC Des Moines event came when Le applied a rear-naked choke to Gaston Bolanos. He maintained the submission hold until Bolanos became unconscious, at which point referee Tyrone Roberts stepped in to stop the contest.
Le`s grappling ability immediately posed a problem for Bolanos, who is primarily a striker from Peru. Le quickly took the fight to the ground in the first round and maintained control for the majority of it. He continued to utilize his wrestling skills in the second round to keep Bolanos neutralized.
Despite Bolanos`s efforts to defend, he ultimately couldn`t escape Le`s submission attempt. The official time of the stoppage was recorded as one minute and fifty-four seconds into the second round.
This win not only added a UFC victory to Le`s professional record (now 9-2) but also occurred in front of a supportive local crowd. Le, originally from Vietnam, trains in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, which is situated just a short drive from Des Moines, Iowa.
