Facing the seasoned welterweight contender and former title challenger, the 25-year-old Morales made the performance look effortless. With this impressive victory, the undefeated Ecuadorian extended his professional record to a perfect 18-0.
Morales immediately troubled Burns with the very first strikes he landed, hurting “Durinho” and sending him to the canvas. While Burns managed to secure a double-leg takedown, it proved brief.
