Josep “Pep” Guardiola, born on January 18, 1971, in Santpedor, Spain, is a highly influential and decorated figure in the world of football. Currently at the helm as manager of Manchester City, the Spaniard also had a distinguished career as a professional footballer, primarily playing as a defensive midfielder. Guardiola notably came through the youth ranks and spent a significant portion of his playing career at his boyhood club, FC Barcelona. As a coach, he achieved remarkable success with FC Barcelona, leading them to two UEFA Champions League titles in 2009 and 2011.
