Spanish tennis player Paula Badosa, currently ranked world No. 11, has announced her decision to withdraw from the WTA 1000 event in Miami and the WTA 500 event in Charleston.
Badosa shared a message on her social media, stating: `Hello everyone. I am sadly announcing my withdrawal from tournaments, including Miami. I am finding it difficult with these ongoing pains and the need to stop playing to recover again. Now I am facing another stage of rehabilitation… I hope to return soon. Thank you all for your support.`
A back injury forced Badosa to retire from the Miami WTA 1000 tournament after her third-round victory over Clara Tauson of Denmark with a score of 6-3, 7-6(3). Consequently, she was unable to compete in the fourth round against Alexandra Eala of the Philippines.
