Following his most significant career win, Paddy Pimblett continues his usual post-fight routine.
Pimblett secured a victory over Michael Chandler at UFC 314 earlier this month, stopping his opponent in the third round of their co-main event fight. This win extends Pimblett`s undefeated UFC record to 7-0.
Known as “The Baddy,” Pimblett is famous for gaining considerable weight after his fights. True to form, after defeating Chandler, he informed UFC announcer Bruce Buffer about his weight increase of over 40 pounds.
“The day after the fight, I think I had around five milkshakes,” Pimblett mentioned. “This morning, my weight was about 198 pounds, which I consider heavy.”
“That’s usually my peak weight. I rarely reach 200 pounds, except maybe when I’m in the United States. The food there really makes me bulk up. In the UK, my weight usually tops out around 195 pounds.”
After his win, Pimblett expressed his desire to fight former champion Charles Oliveira, aiming for a lightweight title shot in 2026.
“Yes, I want to become a world champion,” Pimblett stated at the post-fight press conference. “I’ve always maintained that I will be a world champion, and defeating a former champion like Charles Oliveira – who has two title defenses – especially since he’s considered the UFC`s best submission artist, would be incredible.”
“I’d love to compete against him because I believe my submission skills are superior to Charles Oliveira’s.”
