24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic has shown his support for Argentinian tennis player Federico Agustin Gomez. Gomez, currently ranked world No. 138, recently shared his struggles with serious psychological issues, admitting that he has experienced moments of not wanting to live.
Djokovic and Gomez practiced together at the Miami tournament.
Djokovic commented, “We haven`t had much time to talk yet, but we will see each other again tomorrow. I`m hoping we can discuss the situation. I relate to many things he wrote. We all face psychological difficulties. I really sympathize with him, and I told him I will support him in any way he needs if he wants to share his experiences with me.”
