Twenty-four-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic recently addressed the question of whether his motivation has decreased following the retirement of Roger Federer and the reduced presence of Rafael Nadal in professional tennis.
“Perhaps so,” Djokovic stated. “But without motivation, I wouldn`t be here. I wouldn`t be playing anymore, I would have put the racket down.”
He continued, “I still feel the desire to play, the passion for competition is always with me. I hope that I can achieve even more. Grand Slams particularly motivate me.”
