24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic spoke about his working process with coach Andy Murray.
“We`ve shared the same stage, so to speak. We have been on tour together for a long time and have known each other since our junior years, for 20-25 years already.”
“But of course, as rivals, you don`t interact that much. When we were waiting for the matches to resume after the rain today, we had a very interesting conversation.”
“I have always incredibly respected Andy as a tennis player, but now I respect him even more as a person. He`s a great guy, and I am very grateful that he cares about my game.”
“I still can`t believe that one of my main rivals is now my coach, that he`s jumping [for joy] in the box and pumping his fist. Sometimes I have to pinch myself and ask: `Is this real or a dream?` But it`s great.”
“We are trying to get the most out of this coach-player relationship, but also to have a great time together. Everything is going great in Miami. We arrived here early, almost a week before the tournament. We played golf, went out to dinner together, and had fun,” Djokovic shared in an interview with Sky Sports.
