World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus shared her impressions of the Roland Garros 2025 fourth-round match where Alexander Bublik defeated Jack Draper with a score of 5/7, 6/3, 6/2, 6/4.
`The drop shot is a pretty risky shot, and you really need good feel and court knowledge to execute it. Not all girls are as brave as Bublik. I saw his game, and it seemed like it was his day. If he played like that against Draper every time, he would be in the Top 10. It was a crazy match. Bublik was doing insane things on the court. He was always looking for a short ball on the serve. It`s a good shot, especially on clay where you have time. Girls should definitely try to use it more often, but it`s a risky shot, and not everyone has hands like Bublik`s,` Sabalenka said at a press conference.
For a spot in his first Grand Slam semifinal, Bublik will face World No. 1 Jannik Sinner of Italy.
