The upcoming Noche UFC 3 event, scheduled for September, is being relocated from its originally planned venue in Guadalajara, Mexico. This change comes as construction work on the intended arena there will not be completed in time for the event date.
With the Guadalajara location no longer feasible, the UFC has decided to shift the Noche UFC card to San Antonio, Texas. The event is now set to take place at the Frost Bank Center on Friday, September 13th.
This news regarding the relocation was officially confirmed during the broadcast of UFC Vegas 107 held on Saturday.
Speculation about the potential move of the Noche UFC event had been circulating for several weeks. These rumors arose after multiple other events previously scheduled for Guadalajara were also moved from their planned dates due to ongoing concerns about the arena`s readiness.
The confirmation means that the UFC`s third annual event commemorating Mexican Independence Day will now be held in Texas. The first two editions of this specific series took place in Las Vegas.
Initially, the September event was announced as a numbered pay-per-view card, UFC 320. However, it will now proceed and be promoted as a UFC Fight Night event instead.
As of now, no specific fights have been announced for the San Antonio card.
