Premier League clubs Newcastle United and Aston Villa have reportedly informed Marcus Thuram of their interest as they pursue a potential summer transfer. The Inter striker is understood to prefer a move to England’s top flight over a switch to the Saudi Pro League.
Both Newcastle and Aston Villa have made initial contact regarding the acquisition of the talented forward. Thuram, currently in his third season at the Stadio Meazza, is reportedly in a situation where both he and Inter Milan may seek a new challenge for the upcoming season, paving the way for a summer departure.
While interest from Saudi Pro League clubs has been reported, sources indicate Thuram’s strong preference for the Premier League. This season, he has been a key player for Inter, contributing 12 goals and five assists across 35 appearances in all competitions. His current contract with Inter includes an €85 million release clause.
Despite his overall performance, Thuram’s recent form in Serie A has seen a slight dip, with only one goal scored in his last nine league matches. The French international’s contract at Inter runs until June 2028. He is currently focused on the remainder of Inter’s season before making a definitive decision on his future with the club.
