American tennis players Emilio Nava and Iva Jovic have been granted wild cards into the main draw of the upcoming Roland Garros tournament. The USTA confirmed that these invitations were issued as part of a reciprocal exchange program established between the French and American tennis federations.
This opportunity was awarded to Nava and Jovic based on their strong performances during the recent series of clay court events held in the United States, where they distinguished themselves among American players.
For the 23-year-old Nava, currently ranked world No. 137, this marks his fifth appearance in a Grand Slam main draw. The 17-year-old Jovic, ranked world No. 120, will be competing in her third major main draw.
