Bandai Namco Entertainment has officially announced that its mobile game, My Hero Ultra Impact, will cease operations on May 18, 2026. This decision brings an end to approximately six years of service for the strategy title, which is based on Kōhei Horikoshi’s popular My Hero Academia manga.
What Players Can Do Before My Hero Ultra Impact Servers Close Permanently
Following this announcement, the developer has made immediate changes to the game’s monetization system. As of March 17, 2026, My Hero Ultra Impact players will no longer be able to purchase the premium currency, “Hero Gems.” However, players who have an existing balance of gems acquired before this cutoff date can continue to use them normally within the application until the final server shutdown on May 17, 2026. Bandai Namco has not yet specified whether an offline version or a digital archive will be made available to allow access to content purchased during the game’s service life after its conclusion.
To mark the conclusion of the service period, a “Final Campaign” has been enabled, offering the following benefits to the active community:
- Free Recruits: Daily 10-unit pulls are available at no cost until the shutdown date.
- Story Access: Past event stories have been unlocked for players to revisit.
- Remaining Content: The official update schedule will remain active until March 31, 2026, with new banners and events still planned.
Originally launched in 2020, My Hero Ultra Impact was a 3v3 turn-based combat RPG. Its gameplay system allowed users to collect characters from Kohei Horikoshi’s work and execute various moves using each character’s unique abilities (Quirks) in battles that emphasized strategy and resource management.
