Top-ranked flyweight Muhammad Mokaev is set to compete in the Karate Combat arena.
Karate Combat officials have confirmed that Mokaev has signed with the promotion after the fighter announced the news on Twitter. Mokaev is scheduled to make his debut on May 2nd at Karate Combat`s event in Dubai.
Mokaev explained, “My first sport was karate, then I transitioned to wrestling. I want to stay active, continue developing my striking skills, and build upon my `plan A,` which is striking, while always having wrestling as my `plan B`.”
Mokaev achieved a 7-0 record in the UFC but was not re-signed after his contract concluded following a victory over Manel Kape at UFC 304 in July.
Ranked No. 10 globally, Mokaev last competed at Brave CF 91 in December, securing a first-round submission victory against Joevincent So.
