Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva, ranked No. 7 in the world, has expressed confidence in her readiness to win a Grand Slam tournament.
Andreeva is currently in Madrid, Spain, participating in a WTA 1000 tournament. The clay season will culminate at Roland Garros.
Commenting on her readiness, Andreeva said: “Do I feel ready to win a Grand Slam tournament? Probably yes. Of course, if you ask any player, they would answer the same. The most important thing is how I perform on court, especially in important matches. I feel like I am ready. The key is how I handle the nerves and all the difficult situations that arise during the tournament.”
This season, Andreeva has already secured two victories at WTA 1000 events.
