Mike Malott successfully defended his home turf at UFC 315, securing a decisive second-round knockout victory over Charles Radtke.
Following a week during which he had made critical remarks about Canada, Radtke faced a notably hostile reception from the crowd upon entering the octagon on Saturday night. Malott promptly made him pay for his words, landing a sharp left hook early in the second round that sent Radtke crashing to the canvas.
Immediately after Radtke fell, Malott swarmed with a barrage of ground punches, finishing the fight in spectacular fashion. The official end came at just 26 seconds into the second round, amidst loud support for Malott and chants directed at Radtke from the Canadian fans throughout the bout.
“You guys have no idea what this means to me,” Malott said regarding his win. “I can`t even express how much it means to represent you. This means the world to me.”
