Michael Bisping, UFC Hall of Fame inductee, continues his acting career by securing a leading role in the upcoming “gritty thriller” film, `Atlas King`.
Since retiring from MMA, Bisping has been actively pursuing acting, and his latest project is a starring role in this new crime thriller directed by Nika Agiashvili.
Bisping will co-star with George Finn (known for `Time Lapse`) in `Atlas King`, which is being produced by Storyman Pictures. The film is anticipated to be presented for distribution at the Cannes Market, an annual event during the Cannes Film Festival in France.
In `Atlas King`, Bisping will portray a “hardened ex-fighter” who returns to his hometown after years away to attend his best friend`s funeral and resolve old issues. He reconnects with his godson (Finn), a low-level enforcer involved with organized crime, and together they form an uneasy partnership. They plan a daring heist to break free from the control of a ruthless mob boss.
Bisping has previously taken on significant roles in various projects, including a part in the forthcoming `Red Sonja` remake, expected to be released around late 2025.
His acting credits also include appearances in the `Twin Peaks` revival, `XXX: The Return of Xander Cage`, and both `Den of Thieves` and `Den of Thieves 2: Pantera`.
Bisping expressed his enthusiasm in a statement, saying, “I`m excited to work with Nika and his team. The script immediately captivated me.”
Production for `Atlas King` is scheduled to begin this summer, with filming taking place in downtown Los Angeles.
