The highly anticipated Coppa Italia Final between Lazio and Inter will be overseen by Marco Guida, who has been selected as the main referee for the match. Paolo Silvio Mazzoleni will serve as the VAR official.
The crucial encounter is scheduled to take place at the Stadio Olimpico this Wednesday, kicking off at 20:00 UK time (21:00 CEST). The outcome will be determined within the standard 90 minutes of play, or if necessary, through extra time or a penalty shootout.
Guida Takes Charge of Coppa Italia Final
Lega Serie A officially announced that Marco Guida will lead the officiating team, supported by assistant referees Stefano Alassio and Giovanni Baccini. Luca Zufferli has been designated as the fourth official, responsible for managing interactions with the coaching staff of Maurizio Sarri and Cristian Chivu.
In the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) booth, Mazzoleni will be assisted by Aleandro Di Paolo.
Guida, a 44-year-old referee from Torre Annunziata, near Naples, will be officiating in his very first Coppa Italia Final. To date this season, he has overseen 29 official matches, during which he has awarded 11 penalties and issued three direct red cards.
His record with Inter shows 17 victories, 10 draws, and six defeats, with five players being sent off in matches he has officiated. For Lazio, Guida’s matches have resulted in 12 wins, eight draws, and 12 losses, with a total of eight players from the team being dismissed.
