Sorana Cirstea (Romania) lost to Hailey Baptiste (USA, WC) – 2/6, 7/5, 6/7(4)

Katie Boulter (Great Britain) def. Kateřina Siniaková (Czech Republic) – 4/6, 6/2, 6/1

Varvara Gracheva (France) lost to Lulu Sun (New Zealand) – 6/3, 1/6, 4/6

Camila Osorio (Colombia) def. Emiliana Arango (Colombia, WC) – 6/3, 6/3

Peyton Stearns (USA) def. Kimberly Birrell (Australia) – 5/7, 6/3, 6/4

The victory for the 19-year-old Eala marks her fifth win at WTA 1000 level tournaments in a single season. This makes her the second Asian teenage player to achieve this milestone, following Naomi Osaka in 2017. Eala had previously reached the semifinals in Miami.
