Preview Leon Edwards’ UFC London Media Day Disrupted by Fire Alarm

Leon Edwards’ media day for UFC London had some unexpected drama, much like his career has often been challenging and taken longer than anticipated.

Edwards is set to face Sean Brady as the main event for Saturday’s Fight Night at the O2 Arena. This fight marks Edwards’ return to the octagon since losing his welterweight title to Belal Muhammad at UFC 304 in July.

During his media day interview, the hotel fire alarm went off several times, creating a disruption. Edwards remained calm and took it in stride. Clips of the incident were captured by MMA Crazy.

A victory this Saturday is crucial for Edwards to stay in contention for the championship and get another shot at the belt. Edwards previously won the title with a stunning knockout against Kamaru Usman at UFC 278 in August 2022. He then successfully defended it against Usman in their rematch seven months later at UFC 286, and against Colby Covington at UFC 296 in December 2023.
