Президент Эцио Симонелли объявил о начале работы над новым кодексом этики Серии А, который будет распространяться на всех игроков, тренеров, директоров и членов персонала.

The Lega Serie A convened today to lay the groundwork for a comprehensive new code of ethics, which is expected to introduce fines for on-pitch simulation and offensive public statements.
During the recent international break, representatives from all 20 Serie A clubs gathered in Milan to address and discuss various pressing issues.
President Ezio Simonelli outlined the initiation of this new Serie A code of ethics, designed to apply to all involved parties, including players, coaches, directors, and club staff members.
Key Concepts for Serie A’s Code of Ethics
While still in its preliminary planning stages, it is understood that the proposed code will establish specific fines for a range of violations, moving beyond the current system where all infractions are left to the disciplinary commission.
A primary focus of this new initiative will be to combat simulation on the pitch, often referred to as diving. This push comes in the wake of recent controversies, such as the incident involving Alessandro Bastoni which led to Pierre Kalulu’s sending off during a match between Inter and Juventus.
Another significant area targeted for stricter enforcement concerns insulting or damaging statements made during post-match interviews or other public appearances.
Discussions are also underway regarding the potential creation of a new, independent body specifically tasked with imposing these fines. This body would operate in collaboration with the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) and existing disciplinary commissions.
