Following his recent victory at UFC 316, Kevin Holland has already lined up two potential opponents he wants to face in the octagon.
At UFC 316 on Saturday, Holland competed on the main card, securing a second-round submission victory over Vicente Luque in their welterweight bout held at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
After his triumph, Holland specifically called out Colby Covington during his post-fight media availability, explaining his reasons backstage.
Holland stated that a fight against Covington would be a significant event. He suggested it could even replace other planned events like The Ultimate Fighter, emphasizing that a matchup between him and Covington would generate high viewership and sales due to the potential for significant interest and `shit talking`.
He added that a Holland vs. Covington fight could be a record-breaking Fight Night main event or a strong co-main event on a pay-per-view card, capable of boosting sales without needing a particularly stacked undercard.
Holland also commented on a potential future bout against Carlos Prates and discussed the types of opponents he aims to face in the future.
