Joffrey Lauvergne, the 34-year-old basketball player who previously played for Partizan from 2012 to 2014 before moving to the NBA, has expressed a strong desire to return to the Serbian club to conclude his professional career.
“I’ve always said I wanted to finish my career at Partizan. That’s my goal. We’ll see if it’s possible in the future, but that’s what I want,” the former international player stated to Serbian media.
Lauvergne emphasized that the conditions for his return are not a primary concern for him.
“It doesn’t matter to me. I just want to finish my career at Partizan. I heard that the president suggested I come back. We’ll see,” he added, referring to remarks made by President Ostoja Mijailovic.
President Mijailovic had indeed indicated his wish for the experienced big man to rejoin the club as early as this season and potentially for future seasons. This announcement from Lauvergne follows his recent departure from Kuwait, necessitated by the ongoing geopolitical tensions in the region.
