World number one Jannik Sinner commented on his confident victory over Luca Nardi in the first round of Wimbledon with a score of 6/4, 6/3, 6/0.
The Italian tennis player shared that after the tournament in Halle, he actively worked on improving his serve. “After Halle, we worked very hard on the serve. Today I served very well, especially in the important moments,” Sinner noted.
He added that the beginning of the match was difficult for both players, and rallies were short. “But then I tried to pick up the pace and started putting more into every shot,” Sinner said.
He expressed satisfaction with how he managed to finish the match: “Very happy with how I finished the match. I hope this win gives me confidence for the next round.”
