A middleweight clash featuring veterans Jack Hermansson and Gregory Rodrigues has been confirmed for UFC 317. This event is scheduled to take place on June 28th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, serving as the promotion`s traditional International Fight Week pay-per-view.
As of now, the headlining fight for the UFC 317 card has not yet been officially announced by the promotion.
For Hermansson (24-8), this bout marks his return to the octagon after approximately a 16-month break. His most recent performance was a unanimous decision victory over Joe Pyfer. The Swedish middleweight holds an 11-6 record within the UFC and has experienced a pattern of alternating wins and losses over the past six years, since a four-fight winning streak was halted.
Rodrigues (16-6), a former LFA champion, looks to bounce back from his last fight, a fourth-round knockout loss to Jared Cannonier in February. Prior to that defeat, `Robocop` had built momentum with wins against Denis Tiuliulin, Brad Tavares, and Christian Leroy Duncan. He has achieved seven victories in his ten UFC appearances, earning bonuses four times and securing five knockout finishes.
