Jack Draper congratulated Casper Ruud on his victory in the final of the Madrid Masters. Draper was defeated by the Norwegian with a score of 5/7, 6/3, 4/6.
“First of all, I want to congratulate Casper. This is your first Masters title – you truly deserved it. Today, in the crucial moments, you were braver than me. You are worthy of this victory – you`ve worked so hard, consistently shown a high level in tournaments. Congratulations to you and your whole team, you`ve done an incredible job.
The loss hurts badly, but I want to thank my team, my mom, my brother – thank you for your support. Tennis is tough, but this defeat will make me stronger. I will keep trying,”
said Draper at the award ceremony.
