Five-time Grand Slam champion Iga Swiatek has opened up about her dreams and aspirations for her tennis career.
Despite achieving significant success at just 24 years old, with many seasons still ahead, Swiatek discussed her goals on the court. She expressed a desire for “calm time” and to continue progressing “step by step,” focusing on competing against opponents without the internal “handbrake” that she sometimes feels holds her back for various reasons.
“I want to go to more tournaments with the same mindset I had at Roland Garros,” Swiatek stated. “I want to achieve what I`ve worked towards. It would be great if that also brought results, but I won`t just wait for that anymore. I will certainly work on it to avoid falling into a familiar trap.”
