World No. 4 Iga Świątek commented on her victory over Katie McNally in the second round of Wimbledon, winning 5-7, 6-2, 6-1.
Q: Judging by your play, you seem confident again.
A: Yes, I managed to play consistently in Bad Homburg. That boosted my confidence. But the courts here are completely different; it`s tough to adapt – especially when the practice courts are already worn out after two weeks, and this beautiful court is only played on for a couple of hours a day (laughs). I`m just trying to get used to it and feel as confident here as I did there.
Q: How is your towel collection coming along?
A: Well… I don`t know. Now that everyone knows about it, it`s not as fun anymore. I have to be more careful (laughs). That`s one of the reasons why we come to Wimbledon,” the Pole said in an on-court interview.
