A woman accusing five former members of the 2018 Team Canada world junior squad of sexual assault testified in court on Monday, according to the Associated Press. She alleged that Michael McLeod, Carter Hart, Alex Formenton, Dillon Dube, and Cal Foote committed unwanted sexual acts against her at a hotel in London, Ontario.

According to her testimony, she initially went to McLeod`s hotel room after a gala celebrating the team`s championship. She stated they had sexual intercourse, after which two more men arrived. While she was in the bathroom, another two men joined them.

The woman accused the group of forcing her onto a bedsheet and discussing sexual acts they wanted her to perform. She claimed they lowered their pants and demanded oral sex, with one man doing a split over her face.

She described the experience as `degrading,` and felt it was `all just a joke to them,` according to the AP report.

Her testimony included an account of one man following her into the bathroom and having sex with her after putting on a condom.

The woman stated she tried to leave multiple times but was persuaded to remain each time. She also expressed uncertainty about how the men would have reacted had she refused.

She testified that her `mind just shut down` during the events.

All five men have been charged with sexual assault. Michael McLeod faces an additional charge as a party to the assault. McLeod, Hart, Dube, and Foote were all active NHL players when the charges were filed.
