Preview Heated Backstage Confrontation: Colby Covington and Paddy Pimblett Clash at UFC 314

Colby Covington disrupted Paddy Pimblett`s post-fight spotlight at UFC 314.

Following his victory in Miami, where “The Baddy” secured a significant third-round knockout against veteran lightweight contender Michael Chandler in the co-main event on Saturday, Pimblett was conducting a backstage interview when he was unexpectedly confronted by Covington.

Covington launched a verbal attack on Pimblett, questioning the caliber of fighters the English lightweight has faced in the UFC.

In the recorded exchange, Covington is heard saying, “You’re fighting weak opponents. Guys with poor records. You’re a nobody. You beat fighters with 2 wins and 6 losses, remember that. Remember that, you are a nobody… You’re a fake.”

Pimblett retorted, pointing out Covington’s recent losses, stating he was on a “three-fight losing streak.”

While Covington is technically on a two-fight losing streak, his record in his last four fights is 1 win and 3 losses. His last victory was against Jorge Masvidal at UFC 272 in March 2022.

Currently, Pimblett is aiming for the lightweight championship and has called out top-ranked contenders such as Dustin Poirier, Justin Gaethje, and Charles Oliveira after his win against Chandler.
